BACKGROUND:
A healthcare technology company which creates digital health solutions for Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies.
CHALLENGES:
The client’s claims volume growth was stagnant and limited to interstate processing. Executive leadership was looking for new ideas and an approach for increasing volume.
WHAT I DID:
Led the systems strategy development of a major Blue Cross Blue Shield health care claims processor. Managed a team of NH consultants, client personnel, and client customers through a methodology designed to assess market opportunity, competitive intelligence, and determine ROI for key strategic initiatives within the organization. Output from this strategy work included well-defined business cases, a multi-generation program plan, and a presentation to the executive committee (client and client customers).
The effort was successfully managed by orchestrating a team of consultants, client personnel, and client customers.
RESULTS:
The strategy horizon was a 5 year forecast and later confirmed the client achieved results beyond business case projections.
